Now taking donations for Ivory desktop
(1.30.2010)
We’ve had a lot of comments from people saying that they’d like to make a small donation for our efforts on Ivory. As we’ve stated before, Ivory for desktop will always be free. We do, however, both work full-time and devote our free time to developing Ivory, so of course any donation is welcome. It lets us know that you appreciate our efforts, and gives us further incentive to continue development.
So if you like Ivory, feel free to submit a donation through PayPal via the button to the right.

In addition to the new diggs, we’ve also created a Twitter account, where you can keep up to date on all the Ivory news and releases.

Ivory for iPhone half price for a limited time!
(9.28.2009)
We’re currently working on significant updates to Ivory for both the desktop and iPhone versions of the game, and while we do that we’ve reduced the price from $1.99 to $0.99. We think that making half the profit will provide effective incentive to get off our lazy asses and put out a new release.
The sale won’t last long, so get it while it’s cheap!

Ivory released for iPhone & iPod Touch!
(4.24.2009)
We are extremely proud and excited to announce that Ivory is now available from the iTunes App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Ivory is for sale at a price of $1.99, and has 10 game layouts and 2 custom made tilesets, with more to come in the future.
There is also a free version of Ivory, however it is still in the App Store review process. Ivory Free includes just one layout and one tileset, but will give you a good idea of what the game is like, in the hope that you will buy the full version.
Wondering why we chose to set a cost for the iPhone version of Ivory when the desktop app is free? Mainly for two reasons: one is that it actually cost us money to develop Ivory for the iPhone, while it only cost us time to develop for the desktop. The other reason is that we invested a lot of blood, sweat and tears in developing Ivory for iPhone to make what we think is the best version yet.
Can’t wait for the Ivory free to hit the App Store, but not sure if you want to fork over the $1.99 for it? Give the desktop version a try. It’s free, and will always be free, and you can get a sense from it of the quality that we continue to strive for in all versions of Ivory.
Give it a try, and if you like it, tell your friends!

30,000+ Downloads!
(10.06.2008)
Sorry for the downtime.
As a result of being linked to from Apple, MacUpdate and Cool OS X Apps, we exceeded our 50 GB of download traffic for the month in four days. During that time, there were more than 30,000 downloads!
That’s more than we could have ever imagined with our little program.
We’re back now, with better hosting! We sincerely hope that you enjoy Ivory, and if you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to email us. We would like to hear from you.

“Great quality game, especially for the price you pay. It’s challenging without being frustrating, and really addictive. I like the tilting and zoom features—it looks nice and feels right. A nice brain teaser while I wait for the bus….”
